As a fine art service company we also offer a professional documentation service to private, public and corporate collectors of art.
The service provides a complete overview of the existing collection and documentation of the works of art to establish a basis for active management of a collection. It also functions as a verified statement for insurance purposes or wills, trusts and other inheritance issues.
We offer a variety of services in the area of inventory management:
List and description of objects: professional digital photographs, detailed description, notes on historical classification
Appraisal of condition: Evaluation of the current condition of the piece of art, of the frame and, where appropriate, the present location.
Proposals for conservation: non-binding proposals for conservation treatment to preserve value and condition.
- Valuation: determination of the value on the basis of auction or dealer prices
Documentation software user interface
Our inventory software enables flexible and time-saving recording of art data with various output facilities. Amongst other data, the artist, techniques, genre, year of origin, dimensions, signatures and condition can be recorded.
The inventory data can then be presented and supplied in numerous output formats:
- as a listing, classified by artist, storage location, year of origin or other criteria
- as a printed and bound format with one data sheet per piece of art
- as signage to identify the object
- as a PDF-format to send via e-mail (to the Art Loss Register or an insurer)
- as a CD-ROM with various filter and sorting functions
